About Us

Oceanside READS Learning Center has served countless adults in the Oceanside community over the last 25 years. We are a part of California Library Literacy Services which aims to assist adults statewide in their learning based goals. READS is a welcoming and encouraging environment where adults learn reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

For many people, Oceanside READS is an empowering experience, opening new doors of opportunity. We offer one-on-one tutoring, English conversation classes, accessible books and materials for new adult readers, computer based learning programs, access to computers and small group instruction. With the help of our dedicated volunteers, READS builds community, empowers adults and celebrates each step.
